Privacy and your data

How UKParky handles your account, parking and notification information, and the controls available to you.

What the service processes

Parking requires a location code, vehicle registration, duration and payment reference. An account stores your name, email or phone, saved vehicles and preferences. Guest contact details are encrypted in the application database. Card details are collected by Stripe and never stored on our server.

Location permission

Your device location is requested only when you choose Near me. It is used to search supported parking locations. You can enter a location code instead. Search coordinates are not stored as a movement history.

Notifications and consent

You control email reminders and optional WhatsApp notifications in account settings. WhatsApp requires an explicit opt-in and a valid number. Notification preferences are checked again before sending.

Essential cookies

The application uses essential session and security cookies for sign-in, guest booking access, language and CSRF protection. No advertising or analytics cookies are installed by this application. Stripe may use cookies and device signals required for secure payment processing.

Access, export and deletion

You can export your account data and request account deletion from account settings. Resolve active or uncertain parking and payment operations first. Contact details and saved vehicles are removed or anonymised; financial records required for accounting and dispute handling are retained separately.

Retention and processors

Expired verification challenges are removed after a short retention period. The daily retention job minimises old guest and notification data. Parking providers, Stripe, the configured messaging provider and hosting services process the data required to perform their role. AI article generation uses editorial topics and public sources, not customer parking records.

UKParky Guide

Using the guide sends your messages, a short conversation history and relevant public UKParky excerpts to OpenAI. Web search may also process a search query. Do not send passwords, payment details or verification codes. UKParky stores encrypted conversation text for up to 24 hours; you can delete it from the chat. OpenAI may retain API data under its own service policies. The guide does not access your private parking or payment records.
